Active 10 Latest Software

Satmap is delighted to announce the release of software version 1.5 for the Active 10 sports GPS which contains many exciting new features based directly on customer feedback.

Download Options

Software must now be downloaded via SatSYNC, which is available for Windows PC’s and an improved BETA version is available for Mac. Please read the important information below, before following instructions for:

• Windows: Downloading SatSYNC for Windows and installing Software Version 1.5
• Mac: Downloading SatSYNC for Mac (BETA), Satmap MacFile Coverter and installing Software Version 1.5

Alternatively, software upgrades can be administered via SD card. Select the relevant Software Upgrade card from our online store.

Important

This software update can only be used if your unit has software version 1.16 or later already installed. (Check this by going to: MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > ABOUT.)

Platform Upgrade

Due to technical reasons, there are three features that cannot be included as part of the free download as these require a platform upgrade:

1. Hibernate Mode: Allows you to put the unit on standby when not used for prolonged periods, meaning that when switched on again, the unit will take just seconds to get a GPS lock – resulting in extended battery life and a rapid lock. Please note that the unit will not log your trail whilst in Hibernate.
2. POI and Route Folders: Imported routes and POIs can be seen in their respective menus without the need to restart the Active 10.
3. Folder Manipulation: Allows folders to be manipulated on the internal storage and SD card via SatSYNC.

These features are available to order for just £9.99/€10.99 on an SD card from our online store.

Please note:

1. You do not have to purchase the 1.5 upgrade card if you have previously purchased the 1.4 (or later) Platform Upgrade Card or your unit has platform 09.02.21. (Check this by going to: MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > ABOUT.). If you already have the latest platform, simply download the new software.
2. Units with serial numbers 700001-701975 cannot be updated to include the above 3 features without an electronic component being replaced. If you wish to find out about this, please contact us. If you have previously upgraded your electronics, simply download the new software.
