SatSYNC is a key desktop application which allows your computer to recognize the Active 10 GPS when it is plugged into the USB. This enables the import and export various information:

• Route files
• Overlay Objects Of Information (OOI) such as Points Of Interest, Areas and Lines.
• Customized Points Of Interest icons
• Upgrades of the latest Active 10 GPS software. Routes and OOIs can be created directly on the Active 10 GPS or on third party computer-based mapping systems, and then easily transferred between them using SatSYNC.. This allows you to transfer a favorite trail to view on Google Earth, or downloading road directions from Google Maps to view and follow on the Active 10. SatSYNC is available for Windows or Mac as a free download from our website.

The following key features are available via SatSYNC:

• Transfer of supported files (.GPX, .KML, .KMZ, .LOC, .ZIP, .TXT, .PNG, .XOL, .TCX, .JPG, .MAP) from the computer to the Active 10 GPS (either Internal Storage or an SD Card inserted in the Active 10 GPS)
• Geo-tagging - this application adds latitude and longitude information recorded by the Active 10 GPS to digital photographs
• Compatibility with third party applications - create, share, download and transfer routes, shapes and OOIs between the Active 10 GPS and sites like Bergportal.ch, Geocaching.com, Geocaching Australia, opencaching.de , Gipfelbuch.ch, Google Earth, Google Maps, Waymarking.com and more!
• File Converter - this application allows users to convert files to and from the Satmap file format (.MAP) enabling files to be transferred to and from the Active 10 GPS
• Geocaching - the Active 10 GPS is fully compatible with the geocaching files - even allowing hints and tips to be displayed on screen in rich text and images too. .LOC Waypoint Files, GPX eXchange Files and Pocket Query Zip Files all can be transferred to the Active 10 GPS via SatSYNC.
• Google Earth - the Active 10 GPS is compatible with Google Earth as it converts KML / KMZ files. It can be used to create AOIs, LOIs, POIs and routes, to share POIs between users, to generate road directions and to download Panoramio photos.
• Google Maps - the Active 10 GPS is compatible with Google Maps, a similar tool to Google Earth, which can also be used to share POIs, create AOIs, LOIs, POIs and routes with rich text and pictures, and is even better for generating road directions.
