User Licence Terms & Condition

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is mandatory prior to access to the Forum being granted.

The Route Share Forum is a platform for facilitating the exchange of electronic route files for outdoor sports. Content will be provided principally by members of the Forum in accordance with the following Terms & Conditions.

Membership: the Forum is run for the benefit of bona fide customers of Satmap Systems Ltd (SSL) and is therefore open only to Satmap customers.

Private Use Only: the Forum is provided for use by private individuals and must not be used by professional bodies or commercial organisations.

Access: access to the Forum is controlled by a login procedure requiring a Username and Password.

Control: in order to ensure the quality of the Forum and its content is maintained:
- members must not post any materials (textural or photographic) that is or can be generally construed to be offensive (for example but not limited to violent or pornographic images, abusive or threatening language, materials that can be considered sexist, racist, political or religious extremist, etc).
members must keep their login details confidential as they are strictly for their own use and must not be passed on, directly or indirectly to any third parties.
- members must agree to post information that is accurate and reliable. Where there is any degree of uncertainty, members must highlight this to other users of the Forum.

Enforcement: In the event of abuse of the Forum (suspected or otherwise), SSL will enforce controls by:
- removal of access rights without any notice.
- removal of all materials submitted by the offender.
- monitoring of usage to ensure that login details are not being promulgated to third parties.

Discretionary Service: the Forum is provided, maintained and controlled by SSL entirely at its discretion. Purchase of Satmap goods or service in no way guarantees any right of access to the Forum.

Reporting: users of the Forum are expected to report:
- abuse of the Forum or posting of offensive materials by others Forum members.
- suspected misuse of their own login details / user identity.
- suspected misinformation or errors on route information.

Duration of Service: SSL reserves the right to close the Forum without notice. Access to users is granted for an undefined period of time.

Cost of Service: SSL reserves the right to charge an access fee for the use of the Forum or any part thereof.

Third Party Software: this site is enabled by third party software and access to the Forum in no way proves users a licence to operate this software in any way whatsoever outside of the standard operation of the Forum. This site contains data licenced from Ordnance Survey, Crown Copyright.

Dispute: in the event of any dispute arising from the use or provision of service by SSL, or any dispute in relation to the Terms and Conditions contained within this licence, decisions by SSL will be final.

Disclaimer: ALL ROUTES ON THE FORUM ARE PRVIDED BY MEMBERS OF THE FORUM. THEREFORE SATMAP SYSTEMS LTD DOES NOT IN ANY WAY GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF THE DATA. ALL USERS ARE STRONGLY ADVISED TO VERIFY THE ACCURACY OF ROUTE DATA PRIOR TO USE.

Entire Agreement: these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire licence agreement. SSL reserves the right to change these terms without notice.

Governing Law: this licence agreement is governed and controlled by the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
