User Licence Terms & Condition

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is mandatory prior to access to the Satmap Online Route Planner being granted.

Description

The Satmap Online Route Planner is a platform for creating, viewing, and manipulating electronic route files for use in outdoors sports with the Satmap Active 10 sports GPS. Usage is subject to the following Terms & Conditions.

Membership:the Planner is run for the benefit of bona fide customers of Satmap Systems Ltd (SSL) and is therefore open only to Satmap customers.

Private Use Only: the Planner is provided for use by private individuals and must not be used by professional bodies or commercial organisations, or for any commercial gain, or for the production of any commercial goods or services. No organisations can link to the site unless express permission has been granted in writing by SSL.

Access: access to the Planner is controlled by a login procedure requiring a Username and Password.

Control: in order to ensure the quality of the Planner and its content is maintained:
- members must not use the Planner for the production of any materials (textural or photographic) that is or can be generally construed to be offensive (for example but not limited to violent or pornographic images, abusive or threatening language, materials that can be considered sexist, racist, political or religious extremist, etc).
- members must keep their login details confidential as they are strictly for their own use and must not be passed on, directly or indirectly to any third parties.

Enforcement: In the event of abuse of the Planner (suspected or otherwise), SSL will enforce controls by:
- removal of access rights without any notice.
- removal of all materials stored online by the offender.
- monitoring of usage to ensure that login details are not being promulgated to third parties.

Discretionary Service: the Planner is provided, maintained and controlled by SSL entirely at its discretion. Purchase of Satmap goods or service in no way guarantees any right of access to the Planner.

Reporting: users of the Planner are expected to report:
- abuse of the Planner.
- suspected misuse of their own login details / user identity.
- System errors on the Planner, in its interface, or in provision of the service.

Duration of Service: Access is granted for one year from date of registration. SSL reserves the right to close the Planner without notice.

Cost of Service: SSL reserves the right to charge an access fee for the use of the Planner or any part thereof.

Third Party Software: this site is enabled by third party software and access to the Planner in no way proves users a licence to operate this software in any way whatsoever outside of the standard operation of the Planner. This site contains data from various third party mapping providers including but not limited to Ordnance Survey, Crown Copyright; Microsoft; etc, and is provided in conjunction with the licence terms and condition of the providers of that data.

Dispute: in the event of any dispute arising from the use or provision of service by SSL, or any dispute in relation to the Terms and Conditions contained within this licence, decisions by SSL will be final.

Disclaimer: SSL CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT ROUTES CREATED ON THE PLANNER ARE COMPATIBLE WITH ANY GPS UNIT OTHER THAN THE SATMAP ACTIVE 10 SPORTS GPS. SSL CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT ROUTES PURCHASED OR GENERATED FROM THRID PARTY SOURCES WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH THE PLANNER.

Entire Agreement: these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire licence agreement. SSL reserves the right to change these terms without notice.

Governing Law: this licence agreement is governed and controlled by the laws of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
